The Board of Directors of the Emirates Jiu-Jitsu Federation has decided to increase the value of the local championship awards for next season to AED 4.4 million, and to increase the number of rounds of the Emirates President's Cup, the Uae Vice President's Cup and the Uae Women's Um, to 5 instead of 3 rounds.

He also decided to adopt a new structure that conforms to the highest international standards in the game, in linking the results of domestic tournaments to external tournaments, based on the classification of weights, and the adoption of the budget and agenda of the activity of the competitions next season.

He said: "The decision to host the World Jiujitsu Championship, and to organize the Abu Dhabi World Jujitsu Championship next November, comes in coordination with the state's efforts to confirm the gradual return to life normally, and the proof is that we have established two closed training camps, four official and revitalization championships in the past two months."

Fahad Ali Al Shamsi, General Secretary of the Federation, said: "We have been able to promote the game at the local level, to demonstrate our position globally as the global capital of Jujitsu, and to maintain this prestigious status requires us to continue efforts and to devise new methods that provide players with the perfect platform to prove and refine their skills."
